About Midwest Telecom
Midwest Telecom is in its 41st year of improving the Tri-State area’s business telecommunications and technology infrastructures. This commitment to provide a full-service communications company was started by David Shipley in 1983. Midwest Telecom installs value-added resources from communications equipment to data networks. David and his wife, LaCinda, are the owners and run the business together, which David says adds, “a more personal touch to the MTC customer connection.”
Midwest Telecom, which provides communications services for a variety of business and operations throughout the Tri-State, focuses on evolving communication business needs. While their business is communications, their priority is life-long customer service. "When you're doing work as a family owned business, it's a lot more personal than a standard 8 to 5 job," says David. "Your customer relationship is cared for on a higher level."
It is because of this personal approach that Midwest Telecom has a proven record of reliability for more than three decades. The company implements VoIP communication systems, data networking, video surveillance, sound and paging systems, and more. It also offers a mix of advanced technical knowledge, experience, and a hands-on approach. Midwest Telecom employees are committed to meeting the business needs of their customers, ranging from medical offices, to religious organizations, education environments, manufacturing, and finance industries.
The Shipleys value their relationships with their employees. "They're not just employees, they're part of our family," says David. "Because it's a family run business and it's an extension of the business, it creates a whole different environment and atmosphere from a corporations and, in that way, everything becomes personal."
The Shipleys and Midwest Telecom have built their business on serving the community. "I can set out every day to focus on the relationships and focus on the people and meeting their expectations," says David. "The nice thing about a personal standpoint is the freedom to allow the business not only to serve the customers but to serve the community and take the business and use our services to improve how the entire community works together."
